Teaching Services

I view the act of learning a musical instrument as a way of being, a lifestyle that appreciates beauty and sees practice not only as the path to reaching a goal, but also as a way to honor our gift to learn. With that in mind, I have a holistic take on my practice, where I encourage my students to be mindful about all the pieces that are part of the process of being a musician. To name a few areas of importance:

  • Fundamentals of [cello] technique

  • Music theory

  • Creation of habits and intrinsic motivation

  • The role of physical and mental health in learning

  • Instrument rental/purchase

My approach to teaching values the legacy and wisdom that has been passed to me by my teachers and mentors with a modern take as a way to adapt to current times. With that combination, I am able to pass on to my students valuable and historic knowledge, while sharing tools that will enable them to survive and thrive. As part of my teaching philosophy, I encourage my students to tap into their creativity as artists and give them license to create and pursue new projects, interests, ideas. Depending on the individual’s need, I am able to offer help with:

  • Time management

  • Exploration of alternative music styles and techniques

  • Improvisation

  • Basics of recording audio/video demos

  • And more…

Below are some of the services that I offer as a teacher. If you don’t find what you’re looking for, please contact me and let’s talk about how I might be able to help.
